The Gaze
The Gaze is a collection of four poems (2017) about the unique rendezvous happening while making (taking?) a photograph. Each poem is mounted and framed as a picture, suggesting a reference to the history behind the scenes –behind the picture– of open encounters and interrelations between the creator or viewer of a photograph, and reality out there.
These poems were first conceived in Spanish, the English translation is a collaboration with Canadian poet Helena Dunsmoor.
